Valeria Avina
MFA ‘15
Valeria is an instructor of Vocal Technique at Fordham University and has performed in more than fifteen shows throughout New York City. She is the co-producer of the Mexican web series, Meanwhile. She is a board member of the production company BBR Production, Inc. Her short film, My Relationship with the Moon, won best short in the Hispanic International Film Festival of New Jersey.

Aneisa Hicks
MFA ‘15
Aneisa has been working in theatre, TV, and film in Chicago since 2015. Theatres include Victory Gardens Theatre, Griffin Theatre, Black Ensemble Theatre, Raven Theatre, and the Goodman Theatre. Her TV credits include Empire, Exorcist, and Chicago Justice. She has also appeared in numerous industrials.

Sasha Hildebrand
MFA ‘15
Sasha is currently the Assistant Director of Theatre and the Artistic Director at Sterling College. Prior to that she worked in Chicago at the Drury Lane Theatre and Remy Bummpo Theatre Company. She is has also performed for the past three seasons at the Texas Shakespeare Festival.

Allyson Jean Malandra
MFA ‘15
Allyson has worked in regional theatres such as Walden Shakespeare, Potomac Theatre Project, and was in the premier of Joe DiPietro’s Clever Little Lies, at Florida Studio Theatre. Her TV credits include Investigation Discovery for NBC Peacock Productions, I’d Kill for You, and True Crime with Aphrodite Jones. She also shot the pilot for Truly Grimm Tales for A & E, and was in an episode of Suddenly Rich on TLC. She has shot two national commercials for Steak-umms and Scrub Daddy, as well as numerous regional commercial spots and voiceovers.

Keyla McClure
MFA '15
Keyla has emerged as one of the up and coming stand-up comics in Atlanta. She opened for Iliza Shlesinger at the Atlanta Improv and won first place in the Sweetwater Comedy Competition. She has narrated and produced three audiobooks and has completed over 150 IVR voiceover projects. She is an Ensemble member for Working Title Playwrights and does the English narration for a Venezuelan travel series.

Regina has performed on numerous stages in the Bay area including the San Francisco Shakespeare Company, Central Works Theatre Company, African American Shakespeare Company, Jewish Circle Theatre, and the Marin Shakespeare Company. She has also numerous regional commercial credits.

Nate Wasson
MFA ‘15
Nate is based out of Shreveport, Lousiana, and has performed at the Shreveport Opera in Gypsy, Beauty and the Beast, H.M.S. Pinafore, at Springer Opera House in The Great Gatsby, Tommy, The Little Mermaid, and Of Mice and Men. He directed August Osage County at Marjorie Lyon’s Playhouse and Fiddler on the Roof at the Shreveport Opera. His film credits include My Father’s Son and The Big Short.

John Whitney

John has worked in theatres in New York such as the Manhattan Rep and the Players Club. He has worked in numerous independent films such as Lust Life with Bill Irwin, The Man with the Western Hat, Being a Father, and the TV series documentary A Crime to Remember. John has shot national commercials for Home Depot and NBC sports, as well as numerous regional spots.

Angela Brazil
MFA ‘97
Angela has been a member of Trinity Repertory Company’s Resident Acting Company since 2000.  Other theatres include Long Wharf, Berkeley Rep, Riverside Theatre, and the Breadloaf Acting Ensemble.  Favorite roles include Blanche, Elizabeth Proctor, Mathilde in The Clean House, Edward/ Victoria in Cloud Nine, and Priscilla in Homebody/ Kabul.  She also does voiceover and audiobook work, and teaches at Clark University.

Jamyl Dobson
MFA ‘06
Jamyl has been living in New York since graduation and working with New York Theatre Workshop, La Jolla Playhouse, Lincoln Center, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Wooly Mammoth, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, and the Philadelphia Public.  Film credits include Hall Pass, More Moments to Go, The Last Resort, and the PBS documentary A Good Man.  He is a resident actor with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and has performed throughout Europe and Israel.  He just completed the international tour of the new musical, Zorro

Paul Dunckel
MFA ‘00
After graduating, Paul spent the summer playing Orsino in the Riverside Shakespeare Festival’s inaugural production of Twelfth Night, after which he moved to Chicago to begin his career as an actor.  He quickly became a resident ensemble member of the Piven Theatre in Evanston and has appeared in many productions there including King Lear, American Voices, Mad Forest, Book of Days, Great Expectations, Our Country’s Good, and as “Edward” in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me.  Other stage credits include The Seagull, A Few Good Men, and The Night of the Iguana at Raven Theatre, as well as performances with Stage Left and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, among others.  Last year, Paul played multiple roles in The Farnsworth Invention at Timeline Theatre which won the 2010 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Production.  Most recently he performed the role of “Segismundo” in Vitalist Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Life is a Dream.

Paul has also been busy as a commercial actor having appeared on camera in several television commercials including national spots for Buick, Walmart and Allstate Insurance, as well as numerous voice-overs for both radio and television including National City Bank, McDonald’s and The Michigan Lottery.  He also recently appeared this past season in the Fox Television drama, The Chicago Code, with Delroy Lindo and Jennifer Beals.

Dana Hardy
MFA ‘03
Dana is the Head of Acting and Theatre at Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh.  She is active in the Pittsburgh theatre scene.  Her favorite role to date was the pregnant Varla in Chicks with Dicks: Bad Girls on Bikes Doing Bad Things, which she finished five days before giving birth to her son, Jack.  Most recently Dana was featured in the World Premiere of Umbrella Man at The Rep.

Ethan Henry
MFA ‘09
Ethan has been working in theatre and film since graduation.  Theatres include The Goodman in Chicago, and Next Act in Milwaukee.  Ethan has been featured in films such as The Offering, Smitty, Collapse, Mentefacto, and Heaven is Hell. Currently you’ll recognize his voice as the voice of the Miller Lite Guy.. 

Stephen Thorne
MFA ‘97
Stephen has been a member of the acting company at Trinity Repertory Company since 2000.  Roles there include Hamlet, Henry V, John Proctor in The Crucible and Homer Wells in The Cider House Rules.  Last year, Trinity Rep produced his play The Completely Fictional – Utterly True – Final Strange Tale of Edgar Allan Poe.  Stephen also teaches at Clark University and has been a member of the Breadloaf Acting Ensemble since 1999.

Jessica Lewis
MFA ‘06
Jessica is leading a theater group in the country of Kazakhstan. She is presently there through a mission organization in the States and is serving as the artistic director for the only English language theater in Kazakhstan called Kazakhstan English Language Theater (KELT). Recently KELT held a national playwriting competition seeking plays exploring Kazakhstani changes since the independence of the country in 1991. In Spring 2011, KELT produced the winning plays as a celebration for the 20th anniversary of the collapse of the Soviet Union.  Along with directing KELT, Jessica also recently taught theater and drama courses at KIMEP University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
