Berrigan, or an Island tale
Everything was swell for Anna, until her father died, her mother went basically catatonic, and some new kid arrived on the island – who really seems like he should be at college right now.
Meanwhile, on a different island, a Girl has somehow managed to break the Perimeter, and The Keeper’s letting her stay – despite the lack of food. Just another task for The Keeper’s Assistant, I guess.
And in both places, the Storms keep getting worse…
This reading contains discussion of grief/death, climate crises, and alcohol abuse.
