Notting Hill Carnival, London. Artist-in-Residence at Mahogany Mas Camp with carnival designer Clary Salandy. Assisting in the preparations for the carnival parade; working with carnival artists; research the effect of the 2012 Olympic Games on the 2012 parade.
Karneval der Kulturen, Berlin Germany. Met with carnival parade presenters for the Berlin Carnival of Cultures to learn about carnival practices in Berlin.
Director, Book Wings, International Writers’ Workshop, co-produced with Moscow Art Theatre, Skyped performance, “Poem for Russia with a White Plastic Wolf” and “Poem for Americans,” by Matthew Zapruder.
Record “Song of Myself,” poem by Walt Whitman, for The Whitman Archive (commissioned by U.S. State Department) International Writers’ Workshop website, with collaborators from 8 foreign countries (full project completed 2013).
