Biography

Briana Maxwell is the Production Director for the Department of Theatre Arts, Department of Dance, and the School of Music at University of Iowa. Recently she has stage managed Dance Gala at Hancher Auditorium and H.M.S. Pinafore at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts.

She has worked on multiple dance productions and operas at the university including Dance Gala, UI Dance Company, The Light in the PiazzaThe Tragedy of CarmenLittle Women, and Cosi Fan Tutte. Other credits include Stage Manager of Madama Butterfly and Threepenny Opera at Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Stage Manager of Heartbreak House at Montana Shakespeare in the Parks; Stage Manager of Cash on Delivery and The Matchmaker at The Old Creamery Theatre, Assistant Stage Manager at Williamstown Theatre Festival; and Assistant Stage Manager and props designer at Riverside Shakespeare Festival.

Originally from Clarksville, Tennessee, she now happily resides in North Liberty with her husband, their three lovely and spirited children, and two dogs.
