Directors and actors gathered at the University of Iowa’s Theatre Building to rehearse their plays in advance of the theatre department's annual Ten-Minute Play Festival.

Iowa Playwrights Workshop MFA candidate Cianon Jones is among this year's recipients of the scholarship, which is dedicated to building a bridge into the industry for emerging theatrical leaders of color working behind the scenes.
