Highlights From the 2024 Tony Nominations: David Adjmi's ‘Stereophonic’ Earns Most Nods

Iowa Playwriting MFA alum David Adjmi's new play 'Stereophonic' has been nominated for THIRTEEN Tony Awards including Best New Play. “Stereophonic” is now the most-nominated play in Tony Awards history.

"In the Red and Brown Water," directed by Assistant Professor Caroline Clay, received a glowing review in Black Dance Magazine, which praised our artists' authentic representation of Black, Caribbean, and African dance and cultural practices and aesthetics.

Iowa Playwrights Workshop alums David Adjmi and Jen Silverman both have plays on Broadway in 2024. They met when Silverman was getting her MFA at the University of Iowa and Adjmi came back to campus as a guest artist. Silverman interviewed Adjmi for BOMB Magazine.
